Credo is a product of Toggle Media, LLC ("Toggle"). Toggle is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy outlines what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Information We Collect

The Credo app does not collect any personally identifiable information. We do not require you to sign up, log in, or provide any personal details to use the app. The one exception on this website is the email list you can choose to join (section 5).

To help improve the app and understand how it's being used, we collect anonymous usage data. This may include things like screen views, session duration, and device type — but nothing that can identify you personally.

2. How We Use Data

We use data to improve your experience and to understand how users interact with Credo. This includes:

• Analytics: To fix bugs and understand app performance.
• Advertising & Optimization: We use third-party tools, including the Meta SDK, to measure the effectiveness of our marketing and to reach new users who may be interested in learning Latin. This may involve sharing anonymized event data (such as starting a trial) with Meta.
• No Sale of Data: We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

3. Data Storage

Currently, Credo does not store user data on a backend server. If future versions introduce cloud-based features or user accounts, this policy will be updated accordingly.

4. Your Privacy Choices

Since we don't collect personal information, there's no data to access, export, or delete. If that ever changes, we'll provide tools and clear options for managing your data.

5. Our Email List

On credocatholic.app you can choose to join our email list: the free Advent course, then a short Latin prayer each Sunday. If you do:

• What we collect: your email address, the page you signed up from, your language, and the date you joined and confirmed.
• Why: only to send you the emails you asked for. Your consent is the legal basis, and nothing is sent until you confirm by clicking the link in our first email (double opt-in).
• Who holds it: our email provider, Buttondown (buttondown.com), stores the list and sends the emails on our behalf as a data processor. We do not keep a separate copy of your address on our own servers, and we never sell or share it.
• How long: until you unsubscribe. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect immediately.
• Your rights: you can ask to see, correct or delete your data at any time by writing to the address below. If you are in the EU or UK you may also complain to your data-protection authority.

Our emails may record whether a link was clicked, so we can tell which emails are useful. Joining the Android waiting list does not add you to this email list unless you tick the separate box.

6. Policy Updates

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Major changes will be communicated within the app or on our website.
